The MIIAA is governed by a Board, which has as its members one representative from each medical indemnity insurer and each medical defence organisation. 

The current structure of the Association involves the Board being the decision making body, to whom the CEO reports.  The committees of the MIIAA will report to the CEO, whose responsibility it will be to ensure that the Board is informed of their activities.
