The Board of the MIIAA is largely made up of  the Chairs and Presidents of the MDO and MIIA members of the MIIAA and their CEOs.  There are 11 Board members and official observers.

 Board members individually play an active role in the delivery of the MIIAA’s strategies, particularly the relationships with the AMA and Colleges.
All recommendations of the Board must be considered and reviewed by the individual members’ organisations.
Final endorsement by the MIIAA of all matters considered by the Board shall be by majority vote of the Board, acting within the authorities of their respective organisations.

The Chairman provides the coordination mechanism for the Board.

The Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the MIIAA Board shall be appointed by agreement of a majority of the members of the Board.

The Board meets at least on a quarterly basis.

The Chairman of the Board is Dr Jonathan Burdon, from MDAV.

The Deputy Chairman of the Board is Dr Andrew Miller, from MDA National.
