Membership of the MIIAA is open to all Medical Defence Organisations (MDOs) and Medical Indemnity Insurers (MIIs) conducting business in Australia, which agree to abide by the Rules of the MIIAA.  When the MIIAA incorporated in September 2005 a set of rules was adopted.  A copy can be obtained by emailing execofficer@miiaa.com.au.

Together, these two groups provide insurance cover for over 70 per cent of insured doctors in Australia.
