Role of Board

The Board of the MIIAA is largely made up of Council and Board representatives of the association members together with their CEOs. Board members individually play an active role in the delivery of the MIIAA’s activities, particularly the relationships with the AMA and Colleges.

All recommendations of the Board are considered and reviewed by the member organisations prior to agreement and final endorsement of all matters considered by the Board is by majority vote with members acting within authorities from their respective organisations.

The Board meets at least on a quarterly basis with the Chairman providing the coordination mechanism.

The Chairman and Deputy Chairman are appointed by agreement of a majority of Board members.The current Chairman is Dr Andrew Miller, from MDA National and Deputy Chairman is Dr Jonathan Burdon, from Avant.
