National Coordinator
Ms Claire Leonard
Ms Leonard commenced in the role of National Coordinator in January 2011. Her appointment coincided with the strategic relocation of MIIAA to Canberra, enabling greater contact between the Association and many of its key stakeholders.
Through to July 2010, Ms Leonard was an executive at a medical indemnity insurer and had managed the Communications and Marketing functions there since late 2000.Most recently she has been working as a consultant across various medical industry related projects.
Ms Leonard's career has seen a major focus on Health, most specifically within the medical indemnity industry. This background is supported by strong administrative and management skills gained through a variety of roles and industries.

Dr Andrew Miller, MIIAA Chairman, MBBS LLB (Hons) FANCA FACLM MAICD
Dr Miller is a legally qualified specialist anaesthetist. He has been involved in medical indemnity as a Councillor of MDA National since 1998 and is an alternate director MDA National Insurance.
Dr Miller has a long term interest in national medical indemnity policy and has been on the Board of MIIAA since its inception in 2001. He has presented widely at national and international conferences and published articles that advocate the role of the medical indemnity insurers in improving safety and quality for patients and the medical profession.
