The MIIAA Chairman is Dr Andrew Miller, who is a board member of MDA National. The Deputy Chairman is Dr Jonathan Burdon, who is the Vice-Chairman of Avant. Their biographies and photographs are available here.
Dr Andrew Miller, MIIAA Chairman, MBBS LLB (Hons) FANCA FACLM MAICD
Dr Miller is a legally qualified specialist anaesthetist. He has been involved in medical indemnity as a Councillor of MDA National since 1998, and is an alternate director of the MDA National Insurance Company. In that time he has taken an interest in national medical indemnity policy and has been on the Board of MIIAA since its inception in 2001. He has presented widely at national and international conferences and published articles that advocate the role of the medical indemnity insurers in improving safety and quality for patients and the medical profession.
